The Singing
Body

A research project exploring the body as an essential part of vocal and choral expression.

Voice is not produced by the body. It is the body — breathing, listening and moving in relation to others.

About

Working between
disciplines.

Raffaele Lamorte is an Italian multidisciplinary artist, director, writer and actor trainer. His work brings together theatre, cinema, narrative, music and movement.

He is the founder and artistic director of OfmCompany, a performing arts centre based in Torino. Since 2015, the centre has developed training programmes and original productions, connecting education with professional artistic practice.

His work moves across forms while remaining grounded in a central question: how can the human body become a place for story, encounter and transformation?

As a musician and pianist, he also develops original music and approaches musical theatre as a complete form — where text, performance, voice and composition belong to the same creative language.
